To be considered a certified Grass Nerd, the Nerd must:
- Complete and pass Grass Nerds University, a rigorous, 6 week study of grass types, weeds, and disease that has continuing education classes each and every week.
- Have a state issued pesticide license with a minimum of 15 hours of continual education classes per year.
- Take a soil sample, analyze it and be able to clearly communicate to the client what may need to be done to enhance their lawn.
- Smile, be friendly, and enjoy each day!
- Understand proper watering and irrigation controls.
- Be proficient at the mobile technology.
- Create at least 1 new innovative idea per year.
- Perform a clear and concise lawn and shrub analysis.
